People with food allergies are more often victims of homicide than deaths caused by allergic reactions. That is the conclusion reached by researchers from Imperial College London.
alimentary allergy
British scientists have decided to calculate the chances of a person suffering from an allergy to the variety, indeed to die because of a severe allergic reaction. It was found that the risk of dying from a food allergy is only 1, 8 per million children and 3, 25 per million for adolescents. Meanwhile, the risk of becoming a victim of murder in Europe is 11 per million, and the risk of dying in an accident, including accidents as much as 324 ppm.
The researchers emphasize that their calculations, they did not want to convince victims of food allergies thought that they have nothing to worry about. Just sometimes their fears are somewhat exaggerated and in reality the likelihood of dying from an allergic reaction to some food is extremely low. Calculations were made based on the information collected during the 13 different research. (READ MORE)
