Alarmed by the growth rates of cases high blood pressure in children, experts recommend to carefully choose the food for the children's table. According to experts, the usual products included in the daily diet of children, may contain too much salt.

The research team led by Professor Graham MacGregor cardiologist at the Institute Barts inspected the diet of children of different ages. A simple comparative analysis of what children eat from the different age groups showed a clear tendency to increase the salt intake.

For example, it was found that children 5-6 years ate every day 3, 75 grams of salt. At the age of 8 to 9 years, the figure grew already grams (4, '72 on a daily basis) and in the area from 13 to 17 years the daily figure was eaten salt "record" 7, 55 grams. Doctors assess these indicators of salt consumed by children as excessive. In the list of the most salty foods consumed by children, experts identify grain products (bread, cereal), and meat and dairy. They, according to analysts, especially a lot of salt contains 36%, 19% and 11% respectively.
