Sugar is declared an enemy of long life

If people want to live longer, it is necessary to reduce the amount of sugar in the diet. Apparently, the doctors decided to record again this product in the category of "white death".

WHO has issued recommendations for adults to reduce the daily intake of sugar by half. Ideally, according to experts, the share of sugar should account for only 5% of all the energy that a person gets from food. Until recently the recommended daily limit is limited to sugar 12 teaspoons (including sugar found in foods), but now this figure are advised to reduce to 6 tablespoons.

WHO experts are sounding the alarm also due to the fact that a huge number of products, such as fruit juices and processed foods contain a lot of sugar, which consumers are not reported. British Labour Party have already announced they will seek the most severe restrictions on the sugar content of foods addressed to children. Scientists sound warning that the extent of the harmful effects of sugar on the body just as dangerous as they are smoking.

"The addition of sugar in our diet leads to obesity, Type II diabetes and tooth decay - says a London cardiologist, an active supporter of limiting sugar Dr. Graham MacGregor. - We're aware of the the dangers of sugar   for many years, but nothing on this occasion did not.
