New analysis for Down's syndrome

New analysis for Down's syndrome US researchers have developed a new super-fast analysis for children suffering from Down's syndrome. To conduct a series of tests takes only two hours.

The new analysis will help determine the choice of the most effective drugs, as well as to correct behavioral therapy patients. "In the past, to determine the most effective psychological treatment of children with Down syndrome   took several days - says Lynn Nadel and Jamie Edzhin of the research team for the study of Down syndrome at the University of Arizona. - Today, we have managed to significantly reduce the waiting period. "

Tests using a specially designed non-linguistic computer exercises that allow you to define the so-called "path of development" of children with Down's syndrome . In the future, doctors and psychologists can only follow this path. These studies are published in the journal Journal of Neurodevelopmental Disorders.

"The essence of our tests is that they have been selected because of their ability to activate a well-defined areas of the brain - says Lynn Nadel. - And they do not affect other regions, which makes them particularly effective."
