A few years scientists have monitored the sexual activity of the group of thousands of men aged between 40 and 70 years old. The experts concluded that men who have sex at least twice a week, almost double reduce the risk to get heart problems.

According to statistics, heart attacks affect women, on average, 10 years earlier than women. They explain this by the fact that the sex hormone estrogen, which is produced in a woman's body, activates the "good" cholesterol, thereby protecting the coronary vessels.

British experts have compared the frequency of sex for each subject and signs of heart disease. The specialists took into account other risk factors such as age, weight, blood pressure and cholesterol levels in the health indicators have volunteers.

As a result, it was found that men who regularly make love, were 45 percent less likely to develop life-threatening heart disease. Scientists call for ensuring that doctors in assessing the risk of heart disease in men, taking into account their sexual activity.
