We already wrote about the benefits of chocolate . And now - a new addition to the treasury of useful properties of this delicacy: according to scientists, chocolate even more preferably fruit juices. And all thanks to a powerful dose of antioxidants, which are contained in it.

In the study, the experts compared the performance of antioxidants in the juices so-called "superfruits" - blueberry, cranberry, pomegranate and acai berries (fruit of the palm tree). Separately, an appropriate level of measured and chocolate: the scientists looked at the tiles dark chocolate   weight 40 grams, then cocoa, poured into cups and hot chocolate .

As a result, cocoa and dark chocolate   won prizes: in them, as it turned out, contained the largest number of POLYPHENOL compounds, namely proantotsianinov and flavonols that have natural antioxidant properties that protect the skin from premature wrinkles, and the heart - of the specific disease. But the hot chocolate finished last in all tests: it turned out that during its preparation antioxidants   destroyed.

And finally, most importantly - the researchers found that a 40-gram serving of 60% strength of dark chocolate contains more antioxidants Than 240 ml of fruit juice.

Of course, chocolate   also has other characteristics. It contains fats, proteins and calories which "interfere" people trying to lose weight. But Dr. Debra Miller, co-author of the study, stresses that the benefits of chocolate   outweighs all his faults. Just do not abuse it.

According to scientists, the ideal norm of chocolate - 6, 7 grams per day. This person provides protection from colds and the risk of heart disease is reduced by one-third. Just do not forget that we are talking about dark chocolate with high content of cocoa beans.
