A healthy lifestyle may stop or significantly slow the aging process as it prevents aging cells in the human body. This is the conclusion, researchers from the University of California in San Francisco.

If people stick to a healthy diet, properly chosen regime of physical activity, as well as a system of "stress management", such as meditation and yoga for at least 5 years, they have in the body begins to produce "young-looking" chromosome. This type of change in the chromosomes (the structures that contain our genetic code) before been associated with lower risk of age-related diseases and an increase in life expectancy.

These conclusions scientists have received in the course of a pilot study in patients suffering from prostate cancer.
