Mikhail Sholokhov died on Monday, 21 October, after a long illness. Today, well-known public figure buried in Veshenskaia. He was 79 years old.

Mikhail Sholokhov, Jr. born May 23, 1935 in Moscow. He graduated cum laude from MSU, and then settled in the Nature Conservation Committee of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. However, a good position and a happy life in the capital son of the writer chose voluntary expanses of steppe and soon went to the Don.
In 1972, he graduated from the graduate school of historical and philosophical faculty of the Rostov State University, the department which then taught. Mikhail also headed the Rostov branch of the Moscow Faculty of Legal Education of the Police Academy of the USSR. In 1992 he retired with the rank of colonel.
Mikhail Sholokhov, Jr. became the first Ataman Cossack Union and in the period from 2006 to 2008. He was a member of the Public Chamber under the President of Russia and adviser Ataman Great Don Army Cultural Affairs.
The last four years, despite his advanced age, the son of classics led public council at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Rostov region. Mikhail left the post in the spring of 2013 because of health problems - it's too difficult to travel to Rostov.
The book of memoirs of Mikhail Sholokhov's "On the father" was reprinted several times. For this autobiographical work, he was awarded an international prize named after MA Sholokhov. In this book the author has addressed the problem of moral, social and historical issues. (READ MORE)
