A British court has made plastic surgery clinic in Belgium to pay compensation of 100 thousand pounds for a bad facelift 45-year-old woman from the English Hampshire. Justice has triumphed in almost 7 years.
In June 2005, a native of the United Kingdom traveled to Brussels to undergo surgery facelift Clinic Elyzea. This is one of the largest specialized institutions in Belgium, which has advisory offices in London and Manchester. Operation facelift held Italian surgeon Dr. Valerio Badia.
Facelift I was so poorly. As a result, the patient were recorded damage lip, facial nerves and skin. The woman still suffers from numbness of the face, which is covered with scars and looks very unattractive. Subsequently, Dr. Badia had corrective surgery, however, to correct all the mistakes he could not.
In 2008, the patient filed a lawsuit in the High Court of Exeter, who two years later decided that Elyzea, calling itself "one of the leading plastic surgery clinics in Europe" must compensate unhappy all the material and moral damage. On Friday, the court ruled in favor of the victim to seek compensation of 100 thousand pounds.
However, the clinic is still not willing to pay anything. It is motivated by the fact that Dr. Badia is not a staff member Elyzea. It is "independent professional" for the actions that the Belgians do not want to be responsible. At the same time, representatives of the clinic once again expressed its deep regret with the "troubles", that the patient had to go through.
