Italian doctors were amazed when it turned out that the cause of chronic sinusitis 57-year-old woman is a dental implant, stuck in her nose. The patient took with him more than a year.

Doctors from the hospital at the University of Brescia had a CT scan of the head of a woman who came to complain about chronic pain in the face and sinusitis . According to her, the pain started 2 years ago and since then virtually unabated. The resulting shot surprised even experienced doctors, who during his career have seen a lot of strange. It turned out that in the left sinus woman not far from the eyes is a foreign object, which turned out to be dental implant .

It turned out that the woman implant dentists established length of 2 cm in the upper jaw just about two years ago. The implant is a special metal nozzle with a thread on which is screwed a tooth prosthesis. It is firmly attached to the jaw bone, but the implant somehow moved, and went up, breaking through the wall of the nasal sinuses. Sama gum at the same time has long healed.

Surgeons conducted an operation to remove a foreign object from the nose, and then the patient's state of health has improved dramatically - all the symptoms just passed. After 8 months, it was for the re-examination, in which no complications were found. Tests have shown that the sinuses back to normal and fully healed.

According to surgeons, guilt for what happened lies with the dentist who installed dental implant   improperly. The body has apprehended it as a foreign object and absorbed. What is surprising is that the implant for some reason has not been screwed prosthetic tooth, but the reason for this is not explained.
