According to scientists, found the answer to the question of why some people are prone to overeating. Normally, a person needs much less food than we used to eat. As it turned out, people become gluttons, fearful of the aging of the organism, that is, fear of old age.
Experts from the Yale School of Medicine have found that satisfying your appetite, the person thereby inhibits the action of free radicals on the body. These are molecules that activate the aging process in humans. As soon as we consume less food, then the molecules are activated and destructive effect on the body's cells, destroying them. Already it is clear that obesity has become a scourge of humanity and a major cause of overeating can be called a factor, that is, the use of more than the required amount of food.
Exploring the parts of the brain that are responsible for control of hunger, scientists have found that the molecular mechanism controlling the free radicals that are directly related to an increase in appetite. In laboratory studies and experiments showed that mice are obese, increasing the level of free radicals in the hypothalamus directly or indirectly suppresses the feeling of hunger, due to activation of melanocortin neurons contributing to saturation. Scientific research suggests that free radicals regulate the aging process.
According to a study published in the online edition of the journal Nature Medicine, one can conclude that the theory of overeating to some extent slows the aging process, but obesity in turn, causes a concomitant diseases that lead to the death of people who are overweight.
