Scientists have linked early speech and alcoholism

In Finland, the most widespread alcoholism, so the increased interest of local scientists to study its causes and relationships is well founded. Experts from the University of Helsinki published a paper in the scientific journal where they write that children with early development of speech enjoyed in the future, increased craving for alcohol.

According to the publication «Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research», observation showed that the twins, who began to speak before their peers are more likely as adults become victims of alcoholism. The objects of observation are people who significantly differ from each other in terms of intellectual development in childhood and adolescence.

It was found that those who learned early to speak (and read), more than the others are in need of new sensations and experience a craving for adventure. In addition, they tend to happen a lot of friends who are actively abusing alcohol. These two factors, according to scientists, could be decisive in the occurrence of alcoholism: the more advanced age children at risk of being drawn into experimenting with alcohol more frequently than others.
