The question of whether to take aspirin for prevention of heart disease, is still subject to discussions among experts. Now Japanese scientists have found out, what is the reason this phenomenon.
Japanese scientists conducted study, published the journal Journal of the American Heart Association. They divided the 14,646 men and women aged 60 to 85 years into two groups. Participants of the first daily drank aspirin, and the second We did without the drug. It turned out that during the observation period, 58 participants in the first group died of heart disease and non-fatal heart attacks and strokes faced 2, 77% of people.
In the second group died 57 person, heart attacks and strokes have successfully gone through 2, 96%. Statistically no the difference between the first and second groups were found. So do we need refuse to aspirin? Currently, experts advise doctors approach to address this issue in respect of each of the patients individually. For some, medication may be the right choice.
However, Japanese medical research has shown that aspirin does not play a significant role in the primary prevention of heart attack. But men and women who have already suffered an infarct, can benefit from aspirin as secondary prevention. (READ MORE)
