Researchers at Ohio State University have found that a reasonable savings on food does not mean cutting costs at the expense of their own health. Experts have compiled a list of products that form the basis of a balanced diet and hitting the pocket.
Here are four types of such products.
1. Tomatoes. Sold at any time of the year and useful even in canned form. A cooked they are even more useful, because they contain more lycopene (powerful antioxidants that prevent cancer and other diseases) than fresh tomatoes.
