Many people with allergies do not have any allergies

The researchers argue that in many cases, patients with food allergy, actually believe themselves to be victims of an imaginary disease, and any allergies they have in reality not. Experts worry that considering themselves allergic, people begin to unreasonably limit their use of mineral products, which are necessary for normal functioning of the body.

Employees of the University of Portsmouth in the UK have found that allergies to really suffer only a small fraction of the millions who believe that they have a food allergy. in fact similar disease has only a small part of them.

Food allergy is a reaction of the body to the action of food allergens - it can happen after eating certain foods, such as milk, egg whites, fish, mustard, nuts and legumes. This disease has recently become a huge scale, but scientists believe that the statistics of allergies is increasing rather due to human hypochondria.

Experts analyzed the tests that were performed allergic group, and found that 20% of the volunteers were convinced that they have a food allergy to foods such as milk and mustard. However, a medical examination of the participants of the experiment showed that only 2% of people in the group did have a food allergy to a particular product.

The problem in imaginary allergies that most people no longer eat foods that are actually useful and necessary to maintain health. The researchers advise people to get involved in fewer tests to check for the presence or absence at a particular disease, because most of the "false" allergies - is the result of incorrect self-diagnosis and self-treatment.
