Italian researchers found that moderate consumption of beer helps to protect the heart from disease. They have conducted a study which was attended by over two hundred thousand people. The results showed that people who regularly consume beer, the risk of cardiovascular disease was reduced by 31%.
Cardiologist Hasmukh Rawat commented on these studies: "In the beer no fat and fiber. Most varieties are full of carbohydrates, potassium, magnesium and B vitamins, able to reduce the concentration of homocysteine, which is a risk factor for heart disease. "
In addition, beer is a rich source of a number of antioxidants, which probably do not give to harden the arteries. But all of these benefits can be estimated only if consumed intoxicating drink in moderation - no more than 1-2 cups a day.
