Women's wounds heal longer than men

Women's wounds heal longer than men Any abrasion, cut or scratch at the fairer sex much more slowly tightened. This was stated by US researchers from the University of California, claiming that wound healing in women prevents the hormone estrogen. Its high concentration of "slow" cell regeneration.

That is the conclusion the researchers came by conducting experiments on mice. Scientists have caused minor damage to the front surface of the eye of laboratory animals of both sexes and regularly administered to experimental drugs containing estrogen .
The study found that scarred mucosa in laboratory mice exposed to hormone recovered much more slowly. This allowed the scientists to conclude that estrogen   prevents healing .

US experts advise the ladies to be very alert and careful in their daily activities. Otherwise, their skin will be stored for long periods traces of incorrect movements.
After surgery, women must also be careful to protect themselves. So, if recovery from surgery patients allocated, on average, three days of bed rest, ladies, if possible, better to lie down for a few days. Otherwise, injuries may reopen.
The researchers summarize, various estrogen levels in the blood of men and women affect the rate of regeneration of the cells in their body. However, how to accelerate wound healing in women, the researchers say is not taken.

For reference:
Estrogens   - A common collective name subclass of steroid hormones. They are mostly made of the follicular apparatus of the ovaries in women. But estrogen is produced in men (testicles), although in smaller quantities. Furthermore, in both sexes, this hormone is synthesized in the adrenal cortex.
