My parents are divorced - the child becomes stupid

My parents are divorced - the child becomes stupid American researchers have found that parental divorce has irreparable and negative impact on the ability of their children to learn. In addition, such children are less likely to give birth to make friends.

When the father and mother divorced, the child appear difficulties with math and friends, according to US researchers. Compared with their classmates, who have complete families, children of divorced parents learn to steadily worse, they suffer from loneliness and prolonged depression. And very high risk that they will never fix the mark and become more sociable.

This was reported in a study conducted by researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and published in the journal American Sociological Review. Scientists came to this conclusion on the basis of gloomy five-year observations. The whole period of the experts carefully monitor the academic performance and emotional state of the children whose parents are going through a divorce. Total observation underwent 3585 children.

Of course, the decline in the psychological mood of these children do not go on forever, and after some time after parents' divorce   they come to life. But their performance remains at the same low level, as well as the ability to communicate with friends. All because of the enormous stress, through which children who watched their parents no longer love each other and parted. Moreover, divorce is often accompanied by a clarification of the question of with whom the child permanently to live, so he has to decide whom he "loves".

Furthermore, also in the child impact and economic difficulties, since after parents' divorce   the welfare of his small family is shrinking. And sometimes the baby is watching as his mother or father suffers from depression. This study was yet another illustration of how a heavy blow to the child's well-being becomes a parental divorce.
