American researchers have found that parental divorce has irreparable and negative impact on the ability of their children to learn. In addition, such children are less likely to give birth to make friends.

This was reported in a study conducted by researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and published in the journal American Sociological Review. Scientists came to this conclusion on the basis of gloomy five-year observations. The whole period of the experts carefully monitor the academic performance and emotional state of the children whose parents are going through a divorce. Total observation underwent 3585 children.
