Mobile slavery be abolished in December

Residents of Russia will be able to change mobile operator while keeping their phone number, since December 1 this year.

It became known from the statements of the Ministry of Communications Nikolay Nikiforov. To date, four Mobile   the operator has carried out a test number portability MTS, MegaFon, Tele2 and VimpelCom.

The head of the Ministry of Communications said that according to their calculations, during the year the operators replace 3 million users. Recently it conducted a sociological survey, which found that 50 percent of mobile phone users have dreamed of   changing operator preserving number.
