Can video games directly affect the female sexuality, increasing self-confidence. It turns out that to achieve this effect is sufficient to choose their ladies as possible sexy avatars.

Scientists from Stanford University conducted a study involving 86 women aged 18 to 40 years old who are addicted to video games. It turned out that those ladies that choose their sexiest avatars (like Lara Croft Tomb Raider with a magnificent bust and tight shorts), was evaluated itself in real life more highly sexually. That has a direct impact on the video game female sexuality .

Moreover, the researchers also found that these gamers are significantly more likely to take for granted a very popular "myth about rape," which states that a woman is always partly to blame for their own rape. This behavior is explained by the so-called effect of Proteus (Proteus Effect), in which a person's behavior begins to match his "digital identity" - in this case the behavior and appearance of the avatar.

By selecting an avatar in the game, the woman begins to identify himself too deeply with him that directly affects its actions and way of thinking. If between Text and his mistress have some resemblance, the action intensifies the effect of Proteus.

Note that 46% of gamers is the fair sex, and 36% of them are girls between the ages of 8 to 18, the mentality which is still being formed. Especially noticeable is the effect of self-sexualization, which is called avatars. For example, after participating in the study they played different avatars, all of them were asked: "Is it true that most of the rape victim are women, promiscuous or have a bad reputation."
