While non-smokers intake of fruits and vegetables in large quantities reduces the risk of developing this type of cancer in smokers, he, on the contrary, increased.

"If you do not smoke and consume 600 grams or more fruits and vegetables daily, it significantly reduces the probability of ill. However, smokers consuming the same amount of plant food, the risk of developing the disease increases, "- says the doctors.

At the same time mistake to conclude that smokers better to abandon potentially harmful for their gifts of nature. Sami researchers believe that their work for the first time confirmed the link between the consumption of plant foods and tobacco, should be a warning to those who smoke.
