Baby eczema is more dangerous than previously thought

Eczema is not just an unpleasant skin disorder, because of her children may develop a tendency to all sorts of food allergies. This is the conclusion, researchers from King's College London.

British researchers found that as a result of eczema   children breaks down the natural protective barrier on the skin that protects the body from the young penetration of different allergens. And still evolving immune system is attacked by all sorts of food stimuli - from peanuts to cow's milk. It was found that children suffering from eczema in 6 times more often then face food allergies   6 foods.

The more difficult runs eczema Causing rashes and skin cracks, the more children are at risk then face food allergies . Particles of food get under the skin, where they are under normal circumstances would not have to penetrate. Immunity is learning to perceive these particles as a threat in the future.

And if the child eats peanuts or dairy products, its immune system starts to fight the "enemy", which leads to allergic inflammation. In people with severe allergic reactions taking place it can even cause laryngeal edema and death. About 20% of children suffer from eczema and nearly every 12th has any food allergies.

According to the authors, eczema in the development of allergies play a key role. Previously, scientists thought that the allergy is due to internal processes, but it is now clear that it is the cause of external damage to the skin. (READ MORE)
