The cure for the flu new generation will help in oncology

The cure for the flu new generation will help in oncology French scientists from the Center for Immunology of the University of Provence Aix-Marseille develop a drug that can make our immune system, its kind of "turbochargers". The drug is able to effectively fight various infections that cause colds and flu.

Researchers have found a way by which you can increase the efficiency of the cells "killers." They are a type of white cells patrol the body in search of our tumors. It is this type of cells and becomes infected with the virus.

French scientists have identified a drug that increases the ability of these cells to recognize and kill infected cells that may become a new method of therapy for patients with various types of infectious diseases such as colds and flu. Furthermore, this type of drugs against flu   theoretically able to help patients with a weakened immune system. For example that has passed through bone marrow transplantation or chemotherapy for cancer.

In laboratory experiments in mice it has proved the efficiency of this   drugs against influenza   and viruses such as herpes. Now scientists with the pharmaceutical companies are working to develop a drug that would be effective in the treatment of tumors and viral infections in humans. Head researcher Professor Eric Vivier says "turbochargers" of the immune system, she gets a new medication.

"The idea is to help enable not hit by the disease of the immune system, while increasing the ability of natural killer cells to destroy other cells - explains Professor Vivier. - Based on the work we have the genetic work, we were able to detect antibodies that have this effect. And already proved their efficiency. "
