One in three women will be the victim of violence

More than a third of women in their lifetime encounter manifestations of physical or sexual abuse. Such a disappointing forecast made by experts of the World Health Organisation.

According to a study by WHO, the victims of sexual predators, violent husbands and just become unruly men during their lifetime 35% of women around the world. The most common type domestic violence   sexual remains which affects up to 30% of women. The study is described in detail and the nature of the typical injuries that receive the fair sex - from broken bones and complications related to pregnancy, to mental disorders.

Serious injuries resulting in disability and even death is also found among the common consequences of sexual and physical violence against women. Scientists have found that have been subjected to such violence ladies 16% more likely to give birth to underweight children. WHO experts in data collection worked with researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

"Our study shows that the domestic violence   against women is widespread around the world - said Professor School of Charlotte Watts. - We urgently need to invest energy and resources into the prevention of domestic violence against his original cause globally. Unfortunately, many women are just afraid to ask for help if victims of violence by their husbands or partners.
